Seeking Dog Walker near Davis Square

Description: I’m seeking a dog walker/ dog sitter for a golden retriever puppy beginning in January. The puppy will be only 8 weeks old initially, so looking for 1 or 2 people to help with quick bathroom breaks and walks, primarily during the workday on Mondays and Wednesdays. 

Hoping to work with students who love dogs and can help care for her while I’m at work and help her get adjusted to life in Somerville! Happy to talk through pay based on experience and availability. Thank you!

Description: We are looking for a babysitter for our son who is currently six months. He is a really easy kiddo, very cuddly and happy. We don’t have a set schedule we are looking for, more one-off nights. We would love some previous experience but be open to others. Typical care includes bottle feeds, diaper changes, playtime and naptime that we can walk you through. We thought a student nearby would be great!

Substitute Positions Available [Belmont Day]

Description: We are a private co-educational Prek -8th grade school on 12 woodland acres in Belmont, outside of Boston.  We are looking for reliable, flexible, terrific substitute teachers. We offer our substitutes a flexible schedule- while we like subs who can work the full school hours of 8am-3:30pm, we also have many gigs during a school day which can be shorter.  If a substitute works less than four hours, we always round up and pay our subs for no less than a four hour block.  We pay our substitutes $22 per hour and they can collect sick days as well.  We also like substitutes who are comfortable being placed with any grade from our energetic pre-K to our super cool middle schoolers.

Description: I am a Tufts staff member looking for the occasional weekend babysitter for my 6.5 year old son. My son is very active and loves sports (he plays soccer, hockey, and lacrosse), Lego, and action figures. He is learning to read and loves making art and playing board games—the main thing is he needs to be active! We are in walking distance of Tufts. We have a friendly dog, so sitter must be okay with dogs.  I will need a sitter the evening of Saturday, October 25 from 4-10pm.

Rate: $20/hour

Description: We are a family in West Somerville looking for a dependable MORNING nanny for our 2 boys (ages 5 and 2). We need help with getting the boys up, dressed, lunches packed, and dropped off at school. They both go to school in Arlington Center (5 minutes away). We can provide car seats and/or a car to get you from our house to school and back. 

What: Morning nanny 

When: 3–4 days / week, ideally Tuesday – Friday. Hours: 6-6:10am until drop off at 7:30-7:45am. We would love a start date of 10/14 (or that week). Extremely flexible on days (school breaks etc) with advanced notice.

Description: We are looking for occasional sitters for our 9yo son near Teele Square. Most opportunities will be evenings, but potential daytime hours (he is homeschooled) as well. Evening duties would require supervising dinner and a relatively independent bedtime. Daytime duties might involve walking/transit to library or other activities. No car is needed. 

Someone able to engage in Minecraft and D&D play and conversation would be welcome, but not necessary! 

He has multiple allergies and sitter would need to be comfortable being trained on emergency EpiPen and inhaler use, although this is exceptionally unlikely.

Babysitter Needed [Somerville]

Description: I am looking for a female undergrad or grad student who’d like to hang out with my 10 year old daughter after school for TUESDAYS from 5pm to 8pm and pay is $20/hr ($60 total). My daughter is a 5th grader at East Somerville Community School. She is in the bilingual Spanish program, plays flute, loves painting and reading. A perfect candidate would speak Spanish and be willing to do some light Spanish and math homework help.

Job would require after school pick up between 4:45 and 5pm and a short walk to our place. I’ll prepare dinner (you’re welcome to bring your own too). We have a small dog who is cuddly and playful but sheds so if you have allergies, it won’t be a good fit.

About me: I’m a single parent who works full time in yoga and massage. If it’s a good fit, there could be more hours available. On Tuesdays, I have a continuing ed class I am committed to so I won’t be home during this shift.

Description: We are a family in Medford (Dad is Tufts Alum) looking for an energetic, dependable Nanny for our two children (ages 7 and 5). Children will need to be picked up from Brooks School and watched until the completion of the work day. Mom primarily works from home and will be in a separate part of the house. Afternoon activities may include snack time, playing at home / in the neighborhood, taking kids to afternoon activities (e.g., dance, gymnastics, etc.), visiting the library. 

What: Afternoon babysitter 

When: 2-4 days / week, flexible on which days; 2:30 – 5:30PM; ideal candidate will start in end of October (we can be flexible around school breaks, exam weeks, and next semester schedule)
