Weekend Babysitter (Magoun Sq, Somerville)

We are looking for a weekends & occasional date night sitter for our 2 boys (5 years old & 18 months old) in Somerville. We are located near the green line train station Magoun Sq and right next to the bike path! If you do drive, we will provide you with a guest permit as well to park on a street nearby.

We are a family of 4. Both our kids are in school & daycare during the weekdays. We are looking for a babysitter on weekends to engage with the kids while we run errands, go for walks, etc. Responsibilities would be to engage in activities that both the kids enjoy e.g building something with blocks, magnatiles, going to the parks nearby (weather permitting), building race tracks, etc. Also, if the hours are around the younger one’s naptime – putting him down for a nap.

Hours – Saturday or Sunday (2-3 hours). We can discuss the hours based on your schedule as well & other commitments we may have. Also, would like availability for date night babysitting as well.

Compensation : $25/hour

After school babysitting starting in mid-January (Winchester)

We are looking for an after school babysitter in Winchester for our 5, 8 and 9 year olds starting mid-January. No need to drive them anywhere! Just a 2 minute walk from our home to pick them up at school and then help with snack, play, arts and crafts. Looking for Monday – Friday 2:00-5:00 or 2:00-5:30, but open to splitting up days between babysitters! If you might be interested, even if only for a few days, please reach out! Babysitter for 9 month old (Medford)

We are looking for someone who is willing to watch our nine month old at our house. We don’t need specific days, but the occasional afternoon/evening. We are a five minute drive from campus in Medford. It is easiest to get to our home by car. We are willing to pay for an uber in addition to the hourly rate of $20/hour. Responsibilities would include diapering, feeding, and general baby care. He goes to bed rather early, so it would mostly be sitting in our house doing homework once he is in bed! We also have a very calm, friendly dog.

Babysitter for two second-graders (near Tufts)

We are looking for someone to watch two second grade girls (friends) after school starting in January through the end of the school year (June – but there is some flexibility with this). Hours would be Monday – Friday from about 2:45pm until 5:30pm – there is also some flexibility in days if it’s not possible to do all 5 days. 
Responsibilities would be to pick them up from the bus stop and bring them to one of their houses, give them a snack and just hang out with them. Both girls have known each other since daycare and love playing together and doing arts and crafts. There are also parks within walking distance form both houses.
Both houses are within walking distance from each other and campus and we usually rotate house each day. There’s plenty of street parking at both houses. One of the houses has a very friendly medium-sized dog.We are flexible on pay based on experience.

Babysitter for two toddlers (Somerville, MA)

We have two toddlers (3.5 and 1.5) and live right off a number of bus lines on Broadway. We’re hoping for someone to come once per month in the evenings and can be flexible with scheduling. We’re happy to pay $25/hour with a 4 hour minimum + an Uber ride home.

I am looking for a part-time babysitter/nanny, starting in January, to care for my 3 year old daughter.  Responsibilities will include picking up from school, playing, & taking her for walks or to the playground, and activities. She loves being outside and is very easy going, she loves to dance and sing.

I’ll either be working from home or at the office.  I’m looking for someone from January – June.

Schedule/Hours

  •  Required: Monday – Thursday – 2:30/3- 5:30/6pm, Fridays – 8:30 – 5pm starting in early January
  • I’m looking for 20-25 hours of coverage per week

Babysitter for 1-year-old (Davis Square, Somerville)

We are looking for a babysitter to help watch our 1 year old daughter. I am an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Tufts. We are located a short walk from campus in Somerville, near Davis Sq.

Weekday Childcare (Medford, MA)

We are looking for someone who can provide childcare for our children 4 days-a-week from January 2nd till February 2nd 2024 (these dates have some flexibility). $24/hr for 36 hours a week (8:30am-5:30pm Tuesday-Friday). This would be at our home which is one block away from the Tufts fields. We have three boys aged 6, 4, and 2. The 6- and 4-year-olds are in school, and will require pickup (driving required). Most of your day will be with the 2-year-old only. Our boys are very sweet and love to play – photo of our children included. Evening Babysitting for 3-year-old (Arlington)

Hi! We live in Arlington and are looking for a babysitter for our 3-year-old. He is a sweet, fun, easygoing kid.

Looking for occasional weekday evenings and occasional weekend afternoon/evenings. Responsibilities during evening hours may include helping him with his dinner, bath, and bedtime. This is a perfect opportunity for a college student, as he goes to sleep early and you can get paid to do your homework until we return.  Compensation $20-25/hour depending on experience. Our house is easiest to get to by car, although you could get there by bus if needed.

After-School Childcare for Kindergartener (Davis Square, Somerville)

Our Davis Square family of four is looking for some part-time, weekday, after-school childcare help for our loving, active, articulate, and creative 5-year-old kindergartener.

We’re hoping to find someone, or two people, interested in 5–10 hours/week, who would care for and play with our little guy from school pickup in Porter Square at 2:35pm until about 5 or 6pm a few days a week (ideally Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).

We imagine this could be the perfect opportunity for a college or graduate student — in particular someone studying or otherwise interested in early-childhood education.

There’s also the possibility of continuing with slightly different hours during the spring semester and perhaps even the summer, as well as weekend and nighttime sitting.

Compensation could be $20-22/hour depending on experience. 

Having a car isn’t a requirement, because school is walkable (or a direct bus or T trip) to our house, but someone with a car would be a bonus.
