    Occasional Babysitter [Medford]

Description: Family of 5 in Medford looking for an occasional afternoon, evening, and/or weekend babysitter. We have three kids (2 yo, 6yo, 9yo). They like to play outside, play card games, do arts and crafts, imaginative play. All three get along well. The older two girls often will play together and don’t need as much from a sitter (but still love to play w babysitters).

Both parents work in schools so we sometimes need help if we both have school commitments that day. That might involve dinner prep and bedtime. It could also mean driving to or from a kid’s activity. We are also looking for folks who may be available for a date night or weekend day when needed.

Dates: The first two immediate dates we’re looking for are September 16, 5-7:45pm and September 20, 6:30-9:30pm.

Pay: $20-25 depending on experience and how many kids are being cared for.

Location/Transportation: You would need your own transportation. Having your own car is a plus because we may need help picking kids up sometimes but it is not a requirement. We are located about a half mile from Medford Square.

Contact: Melanie Kessler at kaymelanie@gmail.com if you are interested.

    Childcare Needed (Medford)

Three Medford families are looking for a warm, dependable nanny to care for three kindergarten boys (who are close friends!) in an after-school nanny share.

Ideally, this person has a car to pick up one child from Brooks Elementary at roughly 2:30 PM and drive him to Forest St. to meet the other two boys at the bus stop at 3:00 PM. If you don’t drive, that’s fine—you can meet all three children at the bus stop.

Care continues until 5:00/5:30 PM. (Negotiable depending on your availability). Responsibilities include preparing a snack, supervising play indoors or in the yard, and walking to a nearby playground when weather allows. The home is well-equipped with multiple play spaces and a fenced-in yard.
The schedule is Mon-Fri & follows the public school calendar, with flexibility around short-term schedule changes. Pay is $35/hour, or $37/hour if you have a car.

    Part-time Babysitter in Medford

We are looking for a part-time babysitter for our 16-month-old son this summer in Medford, starting as soon as possible.

We are looking for coverage Mondays and Thursdays from 9am-1pm and can be somewhat flexible with those times. Responsibilities would include feeding him breakfast and lunch, and playing with and supervising him. We live near several playgrounds and a walking path where you could take him – he loves being outside! Our son is playful, sweet, and independent. He is also timid and can struggle with separation anxiety when left with a new caregiver at first.

Our ideal candidate would be CPR/first aid certified, have experience with children around our son’s age, and be comfortable managing separation anxiety as he warms up to you. Possibility of continuing in the fall if it works with both schedules.

    Pay: $25/hour
