Theresa Whitten

Head Teacher

Theresa is so excited to join the EPCS community. Working in early childhood has been a love of hers for a long time and she cannot wait to share all the new things she has planned with her class. Theresa has been teaching for seven years. She received her Masters in Early Childhood from Lesley University in May 2014. She was a Kindergarten Teacher for the Boston Public Schools for 6 years. Before before that, she taught at the Brookline and Randolph Public Schools. She enjoys dancing, singing, trying new foods, and staying active while riding a bike and or hiking. She has a mini golden doodle named Zoey and two cats that she and her husband adore. She has a fraternal twin brother and two younger siblings; family is very important to her. She believes that community is an important aspect in establishing anything new. She hopes to sustain this
amazing community while still providing learning experiences that help enrich each child’s needs. She is looking forward to building a classroom community, along with prioritizing an anti-bias approach to teaching and growing a generation that will accept all, as well as focusing on curriculum that nurtures growth in a positive, risk-free, and fun environment.
