Fletcher Eurasia Club Lunch Seminar: Daniel Drezner on the Russia-Ukraine War

Please join the Fletcher Eurasia Club for a lunch seminar with Professor Daniel Drenzer. He will discuss the current state of the Russia-Ukraine war and its global economic and political repercussions. We encourage you to read his recent articles on “the perils of pessimism“, why the war will continue, and why Russians think they can win the war. The Eurasia Club weekly lunch seminar series engages with students, faculty, staff, and researchers to foster a better understanding of the region among members of the Fletcher community. Members of the wider Tufts community are also welcome to attend. Lunch will be served.

Daniel Drezner is Professor of International Politics at The Fletcher School and Co-Director of the Russia and Eurasia Program, a nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, and a contributing editor at The Washington Post. Previously he taught at the University of Chicago and at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has held positions with Civic Education Project, the RAND Corporation, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and received fellowships from the German Marshall Fund of the United States, Council on Foreign Relations, and Harvard University. Drezner has written seven books, including The Ideas Industry (2017) and The System Worked (2014), and edited three others. He has published articles in numerous scholarly journals as well as in The New York TimesWall Street JournalPolitico, and Foreign Affairs, and has been a contributing editor for Foreign Policy and The National Interest. He received his B.A. in Political Economy from Williams College and his M.A. in Economics and Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University.
