Aftercare for a Pre-K on Thursdays (near Davis Sq)

Hello! We are looking for someone who can pick up our Pre-K, 4yo son at the bus stop (~5min walk from our house) on Thursdays at 3:30pm. We are located in Cambridge along Mass Ave a few blocks from Davis Square, bus drops him off at Peabody Elementary.

Most Thursdays, one of us will pick up our 2yo daughter from daycare and meet you and our son at home around 5:30pm (so, a 2hr baseline). But we are hoping to find someone who would also be able to handle getting the second kid / dinner / even potentially bedtime on occasional Thursdays when we have evening things (we pay extra when the 2yo is in the mix).

Further hours (and occasional other evenings) are a possibility, but the Thursday pickup is the main thing we’re trying to plan for this spring. It could start in mid-January or as late as February 12th, depending on what works for you. $30/hr.

Seeking all-day babysitter, Thursdays

Description: My husband and I are looking for a once-a-week babysitter to watch our little 4-month old girl. My husband works remotely so he will be home/available for any pertinent needs. We are located in Teele Square, conveniently located near Tufts.

The ideal candidate would have babysitting experience and be CPR certified. Expectations include feeding, putting her down for appropriate naps, play time, etc.

When: Thursdays, 8:00am – 6:00pm beginning in February 2026

Part-Time Babysitter Needed [Somerville]

Description and Duties: We are looking for a babysitter for our 12 month old son in Somerville for approximately 10-15 hours per week. Mom works from home part-time so may be in the home at times, but you would be taking the lead regardless. Our son is active, social, silly,  and loves playtime and activities could include: play-time at home, walks on the community path to the playground, library, playdates etc. You will be responsible for keeping him on his schedule which depending on the time of day, may include: feeding him   ( bottle or solids that are prepared in advance by parents or by you if agreed upon in advance), changing diaper, putting him down and getting him up for naps, dressing him in weather appropriate clothes for walks. 

Location: Somerville .8 miles from Tufts campus between Magoun and Davis Sq. We live right off the community path and have a parking spot for you. We are a 2 minute walk from the Magoun Sq T stop.  

Schedule: Exact times are flexible, can vary week to week if needed,  but would need to be on Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. 

Pay: $20-$25 p/hour

Additional: Both parents work in education with combined backgrounds in school counseling,school leadership, early childhood, special education, and behavior analysis. We love meeting and mentoring new educators and would love to be a local resource for you as you advance your career!

Dog Sitter Needed

Description: Are you in need of housing over the December break or would like to spend time away from campus in a home instead of a dorm? I am looking for a responsible person with some dog experience to dog sit at my home between December 22 and 29. My home is a one bedroom condo close to the Heath Street green line stop in Jamaica Plain.  The location is safe and close to great parks and restaurants. My dog, Claude, is a 70 pound cattle dog/German Shepard blend. He’s extremely friendly and very social. He is equally happy going on park walks and watching TV.   I can pay $300 and load the refrigerator for you.

Childcare Needed [West Medford]

Description: We are searching for part time childcare help starting immediately or December/January (start date and schedule are flexible) continuing through the end of the school year with option for Summer if desired. Located in West Medford (intersection of Playstead Rd and Winthrop St) about a mile from West Medford Square – there are some public transport options in the area, a car is more convenient for our location. We are welcoming a new baby into the family and could use some extra attention for our funny and sweet 4 yo daughter. 

Schedule: 2-3 afternoons per week from ~2:45p-5:15p. Flexibility here for week to week variability or more or less hours if desired. 

Duties: Pick up our 4yo daughter from school, which is either a ~3 min drive or 15 min walk, car can be provided for pickup or you are welcome to use yours. Play with her at a location of your choosing such as at the library, in our home, playground (weather permitting), etc. A pre approved budget can be provided for some activities upon request.

Rate: Starting at ~$22/hr and up pending experience and level of independence

Seeking Qualified Babysitter for Infant [West Medford]

Description: We have a baby (born December 2024) and would like occasional babysitting. Responsibilities include playtime, feeding, and bedtime. We also have a large dog and taking care of him will neither be required or expected, but we would prefer someone who is not allergic to dogs and who enjoys dogs.

Child Care Needed [Winchester]

Description: We are a loving and empathetic family with two wonderful daughters (ages 6.5 and 4.5), and one tiny dog!

We are looking for a kind and empathetic student who genuinely loves kids to help us in the mornings from approximately 7:45 – 10:00 AM.  Right now, we are hoping for help ~3 days a week, but we can be very flexible! We live nearby in Winchester, MA and are targeting ~$25-30 per hour, but are open to discussion for the right person.  A strong natural fit is most important to us!

A little more on us – We have had a wonderful nanny for 5 years, but now that our youngest is in school, we reduced her hours to just afternoons.  However, we are realizing we could use more help as both my husband and I work full time!

We are hoping for help with the following:

·         Driving our two girls to school

·         Taking our tiny dog for a ~30min walk

·         Occasionally running a light errand (if time allows)

In addition, we are hoping to find someone who can occasionally help play with the girls on “no-school days,” which occur ~once a month. For example, parent-teacher conference days, Veteran’s Day, MLK Day, etc.

After School Caregiver Needed – 3 days a week [Medford]

Looking for a warm, patient, and dependable caregiver for our 3-year-old son (and occasionally our infant).  

Our energetic and adventurous 3-year-old loves exploring the nearby Fells, playing outdoors in any weather, and building forts both inside and out. He also enjoys helping in the kitchen, especially with baking, and has fun creating imaginative structures with Magna-Tiles and Legos.

Details:

  • Days: Monday–Thursday (at least 3 days/week)
  • Time: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
  • Dates: December 2025 – June 2026 (optional morning, school holiday, and occasional weekend hours available)
  • Location: Medford, near Medford High School/Victory Park

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome our 3-year-old home from preschool and supervise age-appropriate play, crafts, or outdoor activities
  • Prepare and clean up an afternoon snack 
  • Assist with handwashing, bathroom breaks, and light tidying
  • Occasionally help with infant care (higher hourly rate when both children are present)

Compensation: $20 – $25/hour depending on experience

Bonus: Monetary completion bonus for commitment through June 12, 2026
