After-School Childcare for 6-year-old (Davis Square, Somerville)

Our Davis Square family of four in Somerville is looking for some part-time, weekday, after-school childcare help for our loving, energetic, curious, and creative 6-year-old. We’re hoping to find someone, or two people, interested in 10–20 hours/week, who would care for and play with our first grader from school pickup in Porter Square at 2:35pm until about 5:30pm or 6pm a few days a week. Right now, those days are fairly flexible.

We imagine this could be the perfect opportunity for a college or graduate student. We are ideally looking for someone with previous babysitting, nanny, camp counselor or teaching experience, and/or someone studying early-childhood education or development. There’s also the possibility of continuing with slightly different hours during the spring semester and perhaps even the summer, as well as weekend and nighttime sitting. Live in/ Live out part time babysitter for 2 year old girl

Our family is looking for a part-time babysitter, starting in September, to care for our happy kiddo who will be 2 years old this fall. Responsibilities will include taking her to activities at the library and playgroup, feeding snack, reading books, doing arts and crafts, diaper changing, playing indoors and at the playground and putting her down for a nap. Part-Time Nanny (Somerville)

We are seeking a part-time Nanny who can pick up our daughter (4.5 years old) from a Cambridge pre-school and take her to some after school activities (swim, dance, gymnastics). License and safe-driving record required. You can use your car or ours.We are looking for someone to care for our sweet and caring daughter. Hours: 3:00 PM – 6:15 PM. School is a 9-minute drive (or 23 minute walk on nice days) from our house (Somerville/Magoon T-stop on Green line)Expectations are for afternoons only M-W, ~3.25 hours a day. SEEKING CAMP COUNSELORS FOR WEEKEND WRITERS’ RETREAT, JULY 18-21 2024

We are seeking a coordinator and small team of experienced educators, camp counselors and/or caregivers to support the Du Bois Forum’s third annual writers’ retreat in Amenia, New York, July 18-21 (Thursday evening through Sunday midday).  Founded by Tufts Professors Dr. Kendra Field and Dr. Kerri Greenidge, the Du Bois Forum is an annual convening of writers and artists. Duties and Requirements: Planning, leading, and/or supporting relevant programming for children of retreat participants, Thursday evening through Sunday midday.  Candidates should have experience as camp counselors, educators and/or significant caregiving experience, and should be pediatric CPR certified (or willing to be certified).  The retreat weekend is intense but rewarding.  Depending on experience,

Location: The majority of the retreat takes place at Troutbeck in Amenia, NY, about 2.5-3 hours from Boston.

Babysitter for young children (Arlington) (8/5-8/9)

Hello! We are looking for a babysitter for our two children (4.5 and 1.5 years old) from August 5-9. We would love if you are also available for occasional date nights. We are seeking someone who is responsible, caring, and experienced. 

Duties: playing inside and outside (including walking to the nearby park), changing diapers, feeding, putting our toddler down for naps, tidying up after the kids. We are ideally looking for someone who can drive the kids to a planned activity that week (using our car.)  

Location: We live in Arlington and have street parking.
