Beyond Akeela is a summer program in the Boston metro area that provides opportunities for neurodivergent 16-19 year olds to build practice the social, organizational, and self-advocacy skills needed to thrive in college.

2 Spring Green Team Leader Groundwork Somerville (Somerville, MA)

Groundwork Somerville are hiring 2 Green Team Leaders to teach and mentor our Spring Green Team starting in the first week of February. Green Team Leaders will develop, teach, and facilitate workshops on food/environmental/climate justice, gardening, bike safety, civic engagement, and job skills for Green Team members, ages 14-18. While gardening and biking alongside the Green Team, the Green Team Leaders will provide mentorship and support the young people in their environmental justice research or advocacy projects.

Green Team Leaders will work about 10 hours a week. The pay is $20 per hour. This is an excellent opportunity to mentor young students and gain youth development, leadership, teaching, and gardening skills. View the Spring Green Team Leader Job Description here.

The Studio Institute provides support for apprenticeship-based opportunities to undergraduate students (Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors) interested in the art field. Studio Institute has been offering immersive internships at museums and cultural institutions in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, and Providence areas! Institutions include the Memphis Brooks Museum, Cleveland Museum of Art, ICA Boston, and the Fabric Workshop. Volunteer at Red Cloud Indian School (South Dakota)

Maȟpíya Lúta | Red Cloud School on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota is looking for volunteers. This program includes 1-2 years of post-undergrad service working as teachers, teacher aids, coaches, bus drivers, etc. at the school. You can see more about the program here.

A lot of our volunteers use this opportunity as a time to do service and experience a new culture before jumping into grad school, or as an opportunity to explore the possibility of teaching long term. Volunteers do not have to have a teaching degree or be interested in teaching as a career. It is open to all majors.

Soccer Training with 10-year-old (Near Tufts Campus)

We are looking for a student who has a solid understanding of soccer to run drills and play soccer with our 10 year old son 1-2x per week, for 90 minutes in the afternoon (days and times flexible). He is an enthusiastic soccer player, who plays on a team in the Fall/Spring and a games-only winter league. 

We live near campus (Wallace & Broadway) so could meet at Tufts Triangle or at our house. Pay is $25-30 per session, depending on frequency.

The ARAMFO Teacher Leader Fellowship Program Abroad in Italy April 2024

The ARAMFO Educational Foundation presents a unique opportunity from the Teacher Leader Fellowship Program Abroad (TLFP). Building on successful endeavors in Finland and Ottawa, Canada, ARAMFO is orchestrating a trip to Italy, scheduled for April 13 to 20, 2024.

This journey is a deep dive into the revered Reggio Emilia Approach to Education.
