Melrose family seeks after school tutoring in reading and writing for their son in the first grade. 1-1.5 hours, 2x per week at family’s home. Schedule is flexible based on the tutor’s availability. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
Two families in Melrose seek joint after school child care and tutoring for 3-4 children. After school care would occur from school dismissal at 2:20P-5/5:30 P, Mon-Fri. Children are in first and fourth grade; 2 boys in first grade, and 1 girl and 1 boy in fourth grade.
This caregiver would supervise playtime after school, help children with homework, and administer snacks. Tutoring first grade children in reading/writing, and fourth grade children in math, for a portion of the after school care ideal. Care would take place in one of the family’s homes; both families live within walking distance (1 block) from one another and from children’s school. Pay commensurate with experience. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We’re in search of a graduate or undergraduate student interested in tutoring our almost 13 year old daughter who just entered 7th grade. Focus will be on strengthening basic math facts and learning of her current curriculum. We’re especially interested in someone who can demystify math by making it fun, relevant — and maybe even cool?.
If you’re energetic and have an encouraging and positive approach to learning, please get in touch.
When: Monday or Wednesday anytime after 3:45 pm (one session 60-90 minutes)
Where: Tufts campus or our house (between Tufts and Davis)
My husband I are looking for a part-time education or graduate student to tutor our 8-year-old son. He will be entering the 3rd grade in Medford this Fall. If you have special education experience that would be great. Our son is on an IEP, math being his hardest subject. We would be looking for you to assist our son with remote learning M-F. Hours are TBD because we have not gotten his school schedule yet.
Although I (his mom) will be home during the day, I am working full-time. We will be looking for someone to start on 9/16/20, the first day of school. If Medford does the transition to Hybrid we would still be asking for help with pick up and homework after school. Again, until we receive a schedule from Medford Public Schools I am unable to give a number of hours per week.
1. We would like for the tutor to have their own transportation
The high school kids are studying different levels of Geometry and I would like to augment their studies with additional Algebra. The middle school kid will be in Advanced Honor Algebra. This will helping her with what she gets in school and providing her a bit of additional math.

Looking for a Fall tutor for two first grade boys! We are looking for an energetic and organized tutor to work with two first grade boys 10-15 hours per week. We anticipate their public schools will be fully online or partly online. Tutoring would include assisting with assigned coursework as well as supplemental reading, writing, math, and fun science experiments at the first grade level. Tutoring location would rotate between our two family houses in Belmont and Winchester. Start date is September 8th/9th and we anticipate the position running through the end of December. Pay rate is $20-$25/hr.
Seeking an elementary school tutor starting in September for a rising 3rd grader in the Arlington area. Assuming that public schools will be following some kind of hybrid/in-person model, we are specifically interested in one-on-one help engaging with and completing online learning assignments and homework. Student does great with in-person school, but struggles with online learning. Time of day and number of hours are flexible, based on what school looks like in the fall. Estimating 10-15 hours per week, but could change depending on hybrid model. We are a careful, healthy family that follows COVID-19 best practices and we ask the same of our candidate. We will wear masks and can provide one for you. One working-from-home parent will be present. Backyard available in nice weather. Instructor should have demonstrated experience and/or educational background in teaching elementary-aged kids. Hourly rate TBD.
Interested candidates please contact Lisa Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org.
