Seeking Weekend Babysitter

Looking for a babysitter who could come on weekends, probably 1-2x/month. Usually in the evenings for date nights but occasionally during daytime as well. Schedule would be ad hoc.

Requirements: Covid vaccinated and boosted, can provide babysitting references, someone active who can manage a baby and a toddler at the same time, comfortable feeding (easy) meals and snacks as needed, handling bedtime routine

Preferences: Someone who can drive themselves to us/get here on their own; someone with infant experience

About us: My husband and I have two kids ages 3.5 and 6 months (Chloe and Leo). We have been living in east Arlington for 3 years and were in Davis Square before that, so we’ve loved living among the Tufts community. As a family, we enjoy playground trips, dancing, reading books and making pizza! We (parents) are fully vaccinated and boosted.

Seeking Morning Childcare

Seeking early riser(s) to help our 3 children (b/g twins 10, and son, 6) start their days on a positive note.  Wake them up; help the little guy get dressed; oversee breakfast and cleanup; ensure all teeth are brushed; hair is combed; lunches are packed into bags; and winter gear isn’t left behind.  Drive two of the children to school (the third child has a separate carpool).  

You’ll be finished before your first class even starts!

Start time: 6:45 AM at our home

Finish time: 8:45 AM after school drop off

Includes: breakfast for you too!

Pay:  $40/morning

Available days:  M-F through June 10

Requirements:  Clean driving record. COVID vaccinated / boosted.

Preferences: It’s easier to work with one person, but we’re very flexible about developing a MWF/TTh between two people or something else among 3 people.

If there’s a desire to work add’l hours, you can come back to the house after the school drop off and prep school lunches for the following day.  Pay is $20/hr. 

About us:  We’re a fully vaccinated (and adult-boosted) family of 5 who have lived in Arlington for 10 years.  Both Mom’s and Dad’s work starts before the kids even leave for school which is why we’re seeking morning help.  The entire family has a great sense of humor, so be prepared to hear a joke or two from the kids when you meet us.

After School Care/Tutoring

Two families in Melrose seek joint after school child care and tutoring for 3-4 children. After school care would occur from school dismissal at 2:20P-5/5:30 P, Mon-Fri. Children are in first and fourth grade; 2 boys in first grade, and 1 girl and 1 boy in fourth grade.

This caregiver would supervise playtime after school, help children with homework, and administer snacks. Tutoring first grade children in reading/writing, and fourth grade children in math, for a portion of the after school care ideal. Care would take place in one of the family’s homes; both families live within walking distance (1 block) from one another and from children’s school. Pay commensurate with experience. Looking for a person to help in afterschool care with structure and tutoring for a 7-year-old energetic and kind boy with developmental delay due to early childhood trauma. 

Job Details:

House Manager/Childcare

I am looking to hire someone who would be available starting January 3rd. Hours would be 1pm-5:30/6pm M-TH The job would include 1 hr/day of house chores including but not limited too, Kitchen clean up, dinner prep, general tidiness including vacuuming and mopping (all supplies are provided), Pick up of our 3.5 year old from preschool at 2:30pm in Union square and getting them home to Winter Hill. Feeding snacks, provided by the family and playing with them until 6pm. The position may also include a pick up of our 7 year old from school in East Somerville around 5/5:30 and bringing them to Winter Hill home as well. Driving is not required, but reliable transportation and ability to be on time is. Pay would start at $25/hr ~ $100/day. 
An ideal candidate would be someone who is available and willing to be with us for 2 years and can engage our kids with reading, activities and monitor park play time as needed. Ability to drive and has a car is a plus, but not a deal breaker.   They must be fully COVID vaccinated as we have been very COVID conscious for the last 18 months and continue to do so until our kids are eligible for vaccines. This person would be flexible and open to additional hours as well as provide care for one or two kids on potential school vacation days or holidays at a holiday pay rate. Childcare in Wakefield

I am looking for someone from 2-4ish, Monday-Thursday for the remainder of the school year. I am located in Wakefield, and this would involve picking my 4 and 7 years olds up from their schools (clean driving record please). We have two dogs in the home, and ideally I would love to have someone who was comfortable taking them out in the yard when they first get there. We are careful in regards to COVID and would need the same from someone coming into our home.

I’m looking to pay $20/hour, but that could be flexible. This could extend beyond the school year for occasional nights/weekends in the future with the right fit.

Childcare

We live near Tufts University and are looking for a babysitter / part-time nanny to begin work as soon as possible. We have two sons – a four month old baby and a nine year old. Hours are flexible; ideally, we would like to have 3-5 hours of care several days a week at $20/ hr.  We are able to work around one’s schedule for the right caregiver. We are looking for a responsible individual who has some experience with infant care, as primary responsibilities will be with the baby. We have taken COVID precautions very seriously and would like to hire someone who is careful and trustworthy in this regard. Both parents are Tufts professors and will be working from home most of the time.
