Morning Babysitter

Hello! We are looking for a regular Sunday morning babysitter for our 5yo and 1.5yo. Details below – if you’re interested, I’d love to connect! Hiring process will include a quick phone chat and then a paid in-person interview

Location: Arlington, about 10 minute walk from Kickstand Cafe

Hours: Sunday mornings for 2 hours (either 8-10am or 9-11am)

Start Date: ASAP

Requirements: Prior childcare experience; comfortable changing diapers for the 1.5yo; patience with pretend games for the 5yo 🙂

Pay: Hourly rate of $25-30 depending on experience

Occasional Babysitter for Three (West Medford)

We are looking for a babysitter for ad hoc evenings, so my husband and I can have occasional date nights. We have three young children: 6 year old boy, 5 year old boy and 2 year old girl. This would be mostly evenings. We would be looking for someone to come after dinner to play with the children a little before putting them down to bed.We live in West Medford. However, we can help with transportation (pick up or Uber/Lyft).

Library Workshop (Medford)

 University College is looking for people interested in hosting a 1 hour workshop for middle schoolers at the new Medford Public Library on Wednesdays.

All volunteer opportunities are from 1-2pm EST, located at the Medford Library (111 High Street). At least one member of the University College Team will be assigned to each date, and will coordinate with you ahead of your chosen date.


Student participants are in grades 5-8. We will cap the sessions at 50 students (we expect 30-50 to attend), but the room capacity is 100 – so there is some space to spread out. The room has projector/audio, flat floor, long tables and chairs.


Ideally, workshops are as hands-on as possible, but with minimal supplies. Examples include: 

  • A session on social media/marketing where students sketch their own social post
  • An engineering session where students make paper planes and learn about aerodynamics

Long-term after school assistant for 2 kids (8 and 11) (Medford)

Job Description: We are looking for an after-school sitter for our 2 kids (8 and 11) 5 days a week. The role will entail meeting one child at the bus and picking up another at school. A reliable car is a must as driving kids to activities is needed. Happy to coordinate days if you and a friend have availability for all 5 if one person cannot commit to 5 days. 

Hours:  2:45pm – 6:15pm

Basic requirements: meeting one child at bus stop, getting them snacks and assisting with any homework (which isn’t typically more than 15 minutes). Picking up another child at school and assisting with the above. The most important thing is to have fun and play as much as possible.

A car is required as there are some after-school activities we would need you to drop them at after school pick ups. 

Pay is $20-$23 an hour plus gas $$. Looking for someone ASAP.

This part-time role will support a new research project investigating the archives of the American Medical Association (AMA) for race-related historical harms. The job description includes:

Part-Time Caretaker for 9-month-old (Lexington, MA)

We are looking for a reliable and caring caretaker to help with our 9-month-old daughter. The position is part-time, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, two to four days a week. We are initially flexible on which/ how many days (Monday through Friday) and would love to work with you to create a consistent schedule.

  • Provide attentive and loving care for our 9-month-old.
  • Engage her in age-appropriate activities.

After-School Driver (Medford)

Our family is in need of part time, after school help beginning September 16th. Must have a reliable car and a good driving record.

Hours: Monday and Wednesday, 3-6pm

Responsibilities: Drive two older children (ages 10 and 13) from our home in West Medford to an after school program in Cambridge. Drive them home again (or to other activities depending on the season). 3.5 miles each way.

Pay: $25/hr (negotiable)

Benefits: Guaranteed hours, 90 minutes of free time while the kids are in their program.
