Student Volunteer Opportunity with LCS Tutors

We are LCS Tutoring, a community service organization at Tufts devoted to pairing Jumbos with K-12 students in the Medford/Somerville areas for tutoring, and we are currently recruiting for the spring semester! This is a great opportunity for Tufts students to give back to their local community and is a rewarding experience. Our goal is to allow students to have the freedom of tutoring in any subject and age group that they feel comfortable with, and we offer a multitude of resources and events to support our tutors.

Occasional babysitter (Ball Square)

My wife and I are looking for an occasional babysitter for our eight-year-old daughter.  We are looking for someone who can arrange their own transportation to and from our house in Ball Square (near the new Green Line stop and buses), non-smoker, CPR certified, vaccinated for Covid, and okay with 3 cute and non-aggressive cats.


Responsibilities would include playing, reading books, helping with homework, serving dinner, and helping her get ready for bed. We would pay $25/hour.

3Point hiring for SEL

3PointFoundation is looking to hire someone to teach our social emotional learning curriculum for middle schoolers, once a week from 9:00-12:00 on Sundays, starting in February for 8 weeks. This would entail teaching 3 classes for 45 minutes each with the assistance of university students.

The compensation of $30/hr. would include an hour of prep time.

Girlstart seeking part-time program leaders

Girlstart, a non-profit org committed to empowering girls in STEM, is hiring part-time program leaders for this spring semester. This is a PAID opportunity to work with students and lead fun, hands-on STEM lessons at nearby elementary after-school programs.  

  • The commitment is 5 hours per week: about 1.5 hour after school from about 3:00-4:30 pm one day per week at a nearby elementary school, plus your planning and travel time.

Bear Cub Mandarin Immersion Preschool, Infant, & Toddler Center in Arlington is looking for native Mandarin-speaking teachers to join our early childhood education team in our Mandarin language immersion classrooms. We have had students start with CPT positions, and then transition into an OPT upon graduation. Logistics Manager – Tufts Center for Engineering Education and Outreach

The logistics manager will help support the Outreach Learning Fellows Program. A background in engineering or education is NOT necessary for this job. We are looking for someone who is organized and flexible. Tasks for this job include:
