After-school Childcare (Arlington, MA)

We’re looking for help after school for our two boys (ages 4. 5yrs and 6.5yrs), and we need care M-F from 2:00-5:00. If you’re only available for some of those days, we’d still love to hear from you. The hourly rate ranges from $30-$35/hr depending on experience. 

We both work from home, and we live in a 2-family house in Arlington. My in-laws live on the first floor and often take one of the boys on an adventure so most days you’d only have one child.

The boys love being outside, riding their scooters, playing Magnatiles, and building with Legos so we’re looking for a loving and fun person to spend the afternoons with them. We hope that person is you!

Hours: Sunday mornings for 2 hours (either 8-10am or 9-11am)

A family in Arlington is looking for a babysitter:

Our family is looking for a part-time babysitter, starting in September, to care for our happy kiddo who will be 2.5 years old this fall. Responsibilities will include picking him up from nursery school (a 3 minute drive or a 20 minute walk), putting him down for a nap, feeding snack, diaper changing, playing, & taking him outside or to the playground. He loves the outdoors and music!

I’ll be out of the house (on campus for grad school) while you’re here. We’re offering work for the full academic year but can accommodate semester breaks and holidays.

Schedule/Hours

  • Thursdays starting first week of September: 12:30 – 5:30
  • We’re looking for 5-6 hours of coverage per week.

Requirements: Car for school pickup (we will provide a car seat) if you prefer to drive for school pickup; COVID vaccinated/boosted; non-smoker

Pay: Between $22-$26, dependent on experience + mileage reimbursement for child pickups

Babysitter for young children (Arlington) (8/5-8/9)

Hello! We are looking for a babysitter for our two children (4.5 and 1.5 years old) from August 5-9. We would love if you are also available for occasional date nights. We are seeking someone who is responsible, caring, and experienced. 

Duties: playing inside and outside (including walking to the nearby park), changing diapers, feeding, putting our toddler down for naps, tidying up after the kids. We are ideally looking for someone who can drive the kids to a planned activity that week (using our car.)  

Location: We live in Arlington and have street parking. 

Requirements: 3+ years with young children; CPR/first-aid certified; up to date on all vaccines, including COVID and flu vaccines/boosters; non-smoker; excellent references; clean criminal record and a good driving record. Preferred qualifications: experience with children with severe allergies.

Pay: $25-33 / hour depending on experience

Monday Afternoon Babysitting – 5/13 through 6/24 (East Arlington)

We are looking for a sitter to commit to about 6 weeks of weekly babysitting:
2:30-5:30pm every Monday afternoon from 5/13 – 6/24 (excluding Memorial Day)

We have a 2.5 yr/old and an almost 1 yr/old. Job would include getting the kids up from their naps, giving a snack, and playing in the house or yard, maybe walking to the park down the street. We live in East Arlington near Thorndike field, less than 10 minutes from Tufts.

Strong preference for someone who has cared for very young children before. Pay is $25-$30/hour based on experience/qualifications.

Occasional Childcare Needed (Arlington)

We are looking for childcare support for occasional needs (for instance 1-2 weekend days a month, evenings, specific weekdays as needed). We do have an upcoming need on 4/11 (flexible with times).

We are a family of 3 with an almost 2 year-old daughter living in Arlington, MA. Our daughter loves to read, talk, dance, and outdoor play. Responsibilities include supervising play (indoors and outdoors in our fenced in backyard), providing snacks and meals (pre-prepared), and light cleaning up after our toddler.

A family living in East Arlington is seeking a full-time nanny:

Hello! We are looking for a full-time nanny starting in late April/May to watch our boy-girl twins who will be 5 months old. We live in East Arlington, about a mile from Tufts campus. Mom works from home, and Dad is in and out throughout the day. We have a cat who mostly keeps to herself. Looking for someone CPR/first-aid certified preferred, and must be up to date on covid and flu vaccinations.

Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities: Bottle feeding, play time, nap time, diaper changes, outdoor walks with stroller, light housework (emptying & loading bottles in dishwasher, folding baby blankets, etc.)

Compensation/benefits: competitive and dependent on experience.

Evening Babysitting for 3-year-old (Arlington)

Hi! We live in Arlington and are looking for a babysitter for our 3-year-old. He is a sweet, fun, easygoing kid.

Looking for occasional weekday evenings and occasional weekend afternoon/evenings. Responsibilities during evening hours may include helping him with his dinner, bath, and bedtime. This is a perfect opportunity for a college student, as he goes to sleep early and you can get paid to do your homework until we return.  Compensation $20-25/hour depending on experience. Our house is easiest to get to by car, although you could get there by bus if needed.

Temporary babysitter needed for 4.5yo in Arlington

Hello! We are looking for a fun, experienced, and creative babysitter to take care of our 4.5 year old son from 9-3pm during the week of August 21st. He loves to be outside, ride his bike, read books about dragons, talk about Star Wars, do art, create MagnaTile structures, ask questions, and come up with his own games to play. 

Responsibilities include: playing and reading books, spending time outside in our backyard and nearby parks, eating snack and lunch, and keeping him safe, suncreened and hydrated. 

Pay: $30/hour. 

Dates: August 21-25, 9am-3pm
