Monday Afternoon Babysitting – 5/13 through 6/24 (East Arlington)

We are looking for a sitter to commit to about 6 weeks of weekly babysitting:
2:30-5:30pm every Monday afternoon from 5/13 – 6/24 (excluding Memorial Day)

We have a 2.5 yr/old and an almost 1 yr/old. Job would include getting the kids up from their naps, giving a snack, and playing in the house or yard, maybe walking to the park down the street. We live in East Arlington near Thorndike field, less than 10 minutes from Tufts.

Strong preference for someone who has cared for very young children before. Pay is $25-$30/hour based on experience/qualifications.

Occassional babysitter for 2 children (North Cambridge, MA)

I’m looking for an occasional weeknight or weekend evening babysitter for my two sons (Ages 10 & 4). We live in North Cambridge, accessible by bus and Davis Sq. Red Line stop.

We are hoping to find someone who could watch the boys while we go out in the evenings. We pay $20/hour. Depending on the time in the evening, the 4 year old will be either in bed or ready for bed by the time we’d have someone show up, and the 10 year old is self sufficient (although not quite sufficient enough to watch the 4 year old on his own!).

Babysitter for two 9 year olds (Beverly, MA)

I am looking for a reliable babysitter starting May 20th for my twin 9 year old daughters in Beverly, MA. For the months of May and June, babysitting will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 2-5, including drop offs at activities. For July and August, babysitting will be Mondays from 8:30-6 and Wednesdays from 2-6. If interested, care opportunities could be extended into the school year. My girls are active, energetic, fun individuals who love arts and crafts, playing outside, and going on adventures. They love people with a good sense of humor and a lot of energy. Dog Sitting Opportunity for a week (Medford, MA)

Seeking dog sitting services for our sweet pup, Ava, while we are away from April 13th-21st. Ava is a 5 year old black lab mix who loves going for walks around the neighborhood, meeting new people, and cuddling up with those around her. She’s very food driven, fully house trained, and loves playing with her toys. Her dislikes include the rain and skateboards. 
Ava’s day usually consists of breakfast around 7am, a 30ish min walk, then she generally hangs out until the afternoon where she has a quick bathroom break outside. She has “snack” at 4pm followed by another 30ish min walk. She’ll eat dinner around 6pm, and do one more trip outside before bed around 9pm. 
We are offering $80/day. You can either stay with her at our place in Medford, or have her at your place if easier/permitted (provided there aren’t other animals or small children around).  We can provide drop off and pick up in that case. Occasional Childcare Needed (Arlington)

We are looking for childcare support for occasional needs (for instance 1-2 weekend days a month, evenings, specific weekdays as needed). We do have an upcoming need on 4/11 (flexible with times).

We are a family of 3 with an almost 2 year-old daughter living in Arlington, MA. Our daughter loves to read, talk, dance, and outdoor play. Responsibilities include supervising play (indoors and outdoors in our fenced in backyard), providing snacks and meals (pre-prepared), and light cleaning up after our toddler.

After School Transportation Help (Cambridge + Medford)

We are looking for occasional after school help driving 2 young teens from school/bus stop to home. One child goes to school in west Cambridge and the other child’s bus stop is in Medford Square. We live in south Medford. 

This would be about once a week, evenings: 4:30pm pickup in Cambridge and 5:35pm pickup in Medford. 2-hour minimum guaranteed. You must have your own car and a safe driving record. Pay is $25/hour. This is for April-June.

Driving Home Assistance (Winchester, MA)

A family located in Winchster, MA is looking for occasional help driving 2 young teens to/from camp and afternoon activities this summer (2024) and next school year (2024-25). Wednesdays and Thursdays are the biggest need – but could add other days if desired!

  • Pickup at the family’s house in Winchester (or McCall Middle School).
  • You must have your own car and a safe driving record.

Substitute Teaching at Angier Elementary School (Newton, MA)

Angier Elementary School is hiring a substitute teacher to begin immediately. As a substitute teacher, you would cover teachers who are absent or attending a meeting. You would work the same days each week (candidate can choose what works for them: can be 1-5 days/week). Daily rate of about $130/day. Training and opportunities to shadow teachers will be provided. STAAR Center Writing Fellow (Tufts University)

The StAAR Center is hiring Writing Fellows for the 2024-2025 academic year!

Writing Fellows are undergraduate peer tutors who work with students in specific classes on 2-3 assignments per semester. For full details about the position and the application link, students can visit the Work with StAAR page.

2 Spring Green Team Leader Groundwork Somerville (Somerville, MA)

Groundwork Somerville are hiring 2 Green Team Leaders to teach and mentor our Spring Green Team starting in the first week of February. Green Team Leaders will develop, teach, and facilitate workshops on food/environmental/climate justice, gardening, bike safety, civic engagement, and job skills for Green Team members, ages 14-18. While gardening and biking alongside the Green Team, the Green Team Leaders will provide mentorship and support the young people in their environmental justice research or advocacy projects.
