Full Time School Psychologist position in Andover, MA:

Andover PS has a large, integrated mental and behavioral health team comprised of psychologists, social workers, and BCBAs. We are currently hiring for an elementary level psychologist for an inclusion-based tier 3 student support program.

School Psychologist Opening

School Psychologist, part-time (0.4) at the L.D. Batchelder Elementary School 
The position of School Psychologist is designed to provide services to students of the L.D. Batchelder Elementary School (grades K-5).  Interested candidates should apply on SchoolSpring. Chief responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  1. Provide short-term and ongoing counseling services to students who are struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral problems.
  2. Oversee and manage 504 plans.
  3. Provide a full range of psychometric testing as part of the special education eligibility process.
  4. Coordinate and complete all required paperwork as part of the IDEA team process.
  5.  Collaborate regularly with teacher teams to stay current with student concerns.
  6. Provide regular communication with parents regarding academic achievement and behavioral intervention.
  7. Assist students who exhibit school refusal, chronic absenteeism, or behavioral concerns which interfere with academic success.
  8. Serve as a member of the school’s Crisis Response Team.
  9. Collaborate/case manage with community agencies and outside professionals providing therapeutic services to assigned students.
  10. Coordinate services for students who are returning to school following extended absences due to illness or hospitalization.
  11. Work collaboratively with school administrators to promote school policies.
