Winchester Public Schools is seeking a 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) Spanish Teacher to fill a leave of absence vacancy.  Starting January 5, 2024 through April 5, 2024 or thereabouts.

  • McCall Middle School is seeking a dedicated teacher who is passionate about inspiring students to learn Spanish and promoting a growth mindset.
  • Candidates should have experience or interest in implementing proficiency based instructional practices.

The ARAMFO Teacher Leader Fellowship Program Abroad in Italy April 2024

The ARAMFO Educational Foundation presents a unique opportunity from the Teacher Leader Fellowship Program Abroad (TLFP). Building on successful endeavors in Finland and Ottawa, Canada, ARAMFO is orchestrating a trip to Italy, scheduled for April 13 to 20, 2024.

This journey is a deep dive into the revered Reggio Emilia Approach to Education. We have secured spots for our group in the International Study Group, a renowned professional development journey taking place from April 15 – 19, 2024, at the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre in Reggio Emilia. https://www.reggiochildren.it/en/rc/education/study-groups/international-study-group-april-2024/

This immersive study experience facilitates a comprehensive exploration of the principles, values, and concepts underpinning the Reggio Emilia Approach. The itinerary promises a blend of professional enrichment and cultural immersion. You’ll get to delve deeply into the educational philosophy that has been adopted and celebrated by several U.S. pre-schools and primary institutions. Moreover, the trip promises enriching experiences through Reggio Emilia’s captivating historical and cultural sites.

House and Dog Sitting (near Tufts)

Are you or somebody you know around over the holidays and in need of accommodation/want to live in a house rather than a dorm? We are looking for a responsible person with at least some dog experience to dogsit at our house between December 27 and Jan 5 (could be Jan 9 if that is helpful to you). The house is a single family, 5 minutes walk from campus. You would have dog walking responsibilities, but we can also pay for a walker to help ease that load. This is not a paid position per se — we are hoping there is somebody who wants/needs the free accommodation — but we can offer a $200 stipend for the time. Our dog is extremely friendly so there are bonus dog snuggles!

Love dogs? Love to get some exercise in the beautiful fells? We are looking for a responsible, caring individual who is comfortable with a big (friendly) dog. We live right near the Fells, so a car or bike is needed from campus. 

Hours: Monday – Friday sometime between 11 – 1:30 for about 45 – 60 minutes. 

Pay: $25/day

Religious School Teacher (Temple Shalom, Medford)

Temple Shalom in Medford is looking for a part-time Religious School (Hebrew) teacher. Undergraduate, graduate students and alumni are welcome to apply. The location is 455 Winthrop Street, Medford, on Wednesday afternoons, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. 

Curriculum guides, teaching materials and support are available, and collaboration with the Sunday teacher and the director will be needed.  Additional hours may be available during the second semester for those who are interested. 

Compensation is between $27-$35, depending on college degree and experience.  Applicants should have knowledge of and ability to teach Hebrew reading and simple conversational phrases.

A family in Somerville is seeking an ELA and math tutor. See the message below for details:

I am looking for an ELA and math tutor for my 11 year old son, who is a 6th grader at the Kennedy School in Somerville. It can be two separate tutors, or a unicorn who can do both! My son has an ADHD/ASD1 diagnosis. He learns easily one on one, but has a hard time focusing in a classroom setting, so we are looking for weekly sessions to consolidate what he has learned in class. Ideally it would be 2 hours in math and two hours in ELA. Time and days is flexible- anytime between 3 and 5 PM on a weekday.
