Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

  • Implementing the teacher’s lesson plans and maintaining daily classroom schedules
  • Assisting small group, whole class, or individual students
  • Using a variety of instructional and assessment strategies, as directed by the teacher, to meet individual student needs
  • Ensuring the well-being and safety of children at all times

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree required MA Certification highly desired
● Experience in elementary education preferred
● Effective oral, written communication and presentation skills
● Ability to collaborate with other staff
● Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Occasional Childcare for Elementary School Children (Danvers, MA)

We’re seeking an occasional babysitter for two children in first and third grade who can work on a weekday evening or during school holidays. Duties will include playing games and enjoying violin practice with the children.

4th Grade Special Education Teacher (Somerville)

Prospect Hill Academy Charter School (urban PK-12 public school located in Somerville and Cambridge) is hiring a 4th grade special education teacher/case manager to start immediately.

There are currently 9 students with IEPs in the 4th grade. This position would co-teach and co-plan with the 4th grade general education humanities and math teachers, and provide some small group support in phonics and math. They would participate in weekly special education department meetings, as well as weekly content department meetings.

The position will be at our Upper Elementary School campus, 17 Franklin Street in Somerville. Our hours are 7:30-3:30. We would be able to be flexible with licensure and could supervise a student teacher.

Substitute Teaching at Angier Elementary School (Newton, MA)
