Summer Nanny/Babysitter (West Medford/Lexington)

Looking for a summer babysitter to take care of 3 children, ages 8, 6, and 4. 

The position would be Monday – Thursday, 8:30am – 2pm.  It would begin June 26 until August 25, 2023.

Job duties would be taking the children to their swim lessons and swim team practice at Winchester Boat Club and general oversight of their care and safety. In general, you will be at the Winchester Boat Club for most days from around 9am-1pm, supervising the children. 

If not at the boat club, job duties will include entertaining the children, going for walks/bike rides and excursions (zoo, parks, museum) as the weeks allow. The children (2 boys and a girl) are all very independent and know their schedule.  They are fun, silly, outgoing and loving.   One parent works from home and will be at the house and will come and go, and will be available to you as needed.  There is a super friendly dog (golden/labradoodle) in the home.


Required hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30-2pm

Location: West Medford/Lexington June 26, 2023 – August 25, 2023

Babysitting for infant (Somerville)

We are looking for a babysitter to help watch our 3-month-old infant. I am an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Tufts. We are located a short walk from campus in Somerville, near Davis Sq. 

To start, we are looking for someone to help for around 4 hours a day for a few days in February (likely Feb 15th, 22nd and 23rd). We are interested in more regular babysitting in future as well.

We are looking for someone who has experience with infants and has COVID vaccines (including the bivalent booster). Preference will be given to candidates who are CPR and first aid certified.

Museum Educator Position for The Buttonwoods Museum

The Buttonwoods Museum in Haverhill, MA seeks an enthusiastic Museum Educator to help position the Museum as a strategic community resource within the City of Haverhill and beyond. The Buttonwoods Museum is a small, but dynamic, institution with a mission to collect and preserve history, and to educate the community about Greater Haverhill’s past and culture.

The Museum Educator oversees the many ways visitors interact with the Museum including: research and develop new educational programming via a Cummings Foundation Grant, public programming, group field trips, social media, community outreach endeavors, and more. Education programs serve preschoolers through senior citizens and everyone in between.

Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent time management and prioritization skills; a passion for history, art, and/or archaeology; flexibility and imagination; and be excited about place-making and community engagement. A valid driver’s license and a vehicle is required in order to travel around the Greater Haverhill area for off-site programs. The Museum encourages candidates who are English Spanish bilingual and/or have previous experiences in museums, teaching, or small nonprofits to apply.

This is a part time position of 16 hours per week with occasional variations. There is grant funding for the option of one more day per week. The hourly wage range is $18-20.

Hello!  We are looking for someone to assist with morning drop off for our 4 year old son to West Somerville Neighborhood School (177 Powder House Boulevard, 2 blocks away from campus) 1 – 2 days per week.  We are flexible on the days but Tuesday and Thursday are preferred.  We live on Electric Avenue so the school is a short walk.  We are looking for someone to come to our house at 7:30am, finish breakfast, play, etc. with our son and then walk to school to arrive around 8:20am.  Also interested in the occasional Fri/Sat night or weekday evening babysitting.

Position Summary

The Fessenden School seeks a full-time Academic Tutor November 2022 to June 2023 . The Academic Tutor provides one-on-one support for boys in Grades 5–9 who have been identified as needing additional support in any of a variety of subject areas. Full time Academic Tutors typically meet one-on-one with 8-10 students two to three times per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with individual students in a tutorial setting to provide support with assignments and organization
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet the learning needs of a range of students
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, both orally and in writing through emails and bi-annual narrative reports
  • Communicate and partner regularly and effectively with classroom teacher(s), both orally and in writing
  • Collaborate with teachers and colleagues in the Learning Resources Department
  • Facilitate parent-teacher conferences and attend Student Support Team meetings as needed
  • Incorporate educational technology in tutorial lessons and support student use of assistive technology in the classroom
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Attend Learning Resource Department meetings
  • Attend professional development meetings (three full day and three afternoon)
  • Maintain current CPR/AED & first aid certification and child abuse prevention training

Part-Time Nanny Position (Cambridge)

We are seeking a part-time Nanny who can pick up our daughter (will be 2.9 years old) from a Cambridge pre-school and organize some after school activities. License and safe-driving record required. You can use your car or ours.

After working with a full-time nanny for 2+ years, we are looking for someone to care for our sweet and caring daughter. Hours: 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM. School is a 9-minute drive (or 23 minute walk on nice days) from our house (Somerville.)

Expectations are for afternoons only M-F, 3.5 hours a day. 

  • Pick her up afterschool and take back to our home.
  • Transporting and attending toddler activity meet-ups
  • Unload lunchbox and help make her lunches for the week.
  • There is a whole floor, bathroom, and shared outdoor space available for the caretaker.
  • Fold and put away her laundry 1x a week

Compensation: $23-25/hour + holiday bonus.
