Morning and Evening Babysitter for 7 and 9 year-old (Somerville)

Looking for someone to come to my house near Tufts and assist my 7 and 9 year old in the mornings (wake, watch show, dress, walk to West Somerville School if they want someone to go with them) when I’m out of town traveling. My partner has to leave too early to help out (he’s a school teacher).

About 1-2 mornings per month this person would come over at around 7am, get the kids ready, and walk them 0.4 miles to daycare/ West Somerville Neighborhood School (which are right across the street from each other) for drop off at 8am. They often just want to walk themselves, but in case they are having a slower/harder morning I’d like the person to be open to walking them directly to school.

Pay is negotiable, and I will pay you well for the 2 hours of morning work!

Current dates needed for mornings are:
– Wed Oct 16th
– Fri Nov 8th (waiting to confirm this date)
– Thur/Fri Dec 5/6

Flexible on weekly date night times/dates.

If you’re interested, please text Laura 917-774-4464 or email laura.k.gee@gmail.com

Babysitter for 2-year-old (Reading, MA)

My name is Lydia Connell, and I am a Tufts alumni and school psych in Winchester. I recently switched to part time because I opened my own business running afterschool SEL groups for children. I’m looking for a babysitter for my 2 year old, Charlie, on Wednesday and Thursdays afternoons between 4-5pm starting in September. This would be great for an intern looking to make some extra money, and we are flexible if you wanted to add more time. You would need a car so you can pick Charlie up at daycare by 4pm in Reading, MA (we can provide you a car seat). If interested, feel free to email me at Lydia.treat@gmail.com

After-School Childcare for 6-year-old (Davis Square, Somerville)

Our Davis Square family of four in Somerville is looking for some part-time, weekday, after-school childcare help for our loving, energetic, curious, and creative 6-year-old. We’re hoping to find someone, or two people, interested in 10–20 hours/week, who would care for and play with our first grader from school pickup in Porter Square at 2:35pm until about 5:30pm or 6pm a few days a week. Right now, those days are fairly flexible.

We imagine this could be the perfect opportunity for a college or graduate student. We are ideally looking for someone with previous babysitting, nanny, camp counselor or teaching experience, and/or someone studying early-childhood education or development. There’s also the possibility of continuing with slightly different hours during the spring semester and perhaps even the summer, as well as weekend and nighttime sitting. Pay would be $18-22 an hour based on experience. Please email andrew.sessa@gmail.com if you’re interested. We look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks.
