MITES-Saturdays-AMS-JD-F23-FINALI am looking for some before/after school help. I live on the Malden/Medford line, near the small target. I have an 8.5 yo and a 6.5yo.
My morning need is from 7:15 to 8:30. This would include finishing morning routine and getting my 8 yo off to the bus. She can be walked or told to leave. In inclement weather she could be dropped off on their way to the little guy’s school. Both schools are in Medford.
My afternoon need is for pickup of my little guy at 2:30. I will likely be home by 4. Between they can do whatever they want – come home, go to playgrounds, get ice cream, etc..
A car is necessary.
I will split shifts as long as there is a commitment. So, even if someone is available for 1 shift – please connect. But preference and higher pay will be given for more committment. If additional hours are sought, this can be discussed.
Pay is 25/30 an hour.
If interested, please contact me, Jennifer, at jolyjennifer@gmail.com

We are looking for some help this summer babysitting our bright, sweet 4-year-old son with autism. We need help 3 afternoons per week, 1:00 PM-5:00 PM, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. $20-25/hour.
He will be in summer school for several weeks and coming home on the bus. I work from home most days but If I’m not home, you would have to meet him at the bus right outside our house.
During the time you’re with him, you’ll just need to give him some snacks and play. He loves puzzles, cars, and playing with water. We’re working on potty training but he uses pull-ups and may need a change. We have outdoor space for playing and are near lots of parks and playgrounds.
We are located in Winter Hill in Somerville, close to bus lines and the Green Line. If you drive, we have a driveway with room for your car and also parking passes for street parking. We have one pet in the house, a grumpy cat who will most likely leave you alone.
Please email me at cmkopka@gmail.com if you are interested, and have references available.

We are two families seeking some fun literacy/phonics coaching over the summer for two girls, ages six and seven. Both children are around the same reading level: learning the letters, the sounds they make, and beginning stages of sounding out words.
Our goal is to give these two friends a cooperative learning opportunity that appeals to their interests and also gives them many movement breaks. Both children have been diagnosed with ADHD, and so lessons that can be in the form of outside games, art projects, theatrical performances, neighborhood hikes, and phonics scavenger hunts would be ideal for engaging these enthusiastic, creative adventurers.
These two kiddos have known each other since they were babies. They share many of the same interests, including performing arts, dance, nature, playing in sand and water, arts and crafts, fantastical imaginative role playing, cats and tigers, Pokemon, legos, vampires, superheroes, and cooking. They have been known to put on a good puppet show together, and have also recorded some vampire-themed podcasts.
Applicants must be LGBTQ+ friendly.
We live fifteen minutes away from one another in Medford and Arlington. Both home spaces are available for sessions with indoor work and play spaces as well as backyards. Both families live walking distance to playgrounds. We can also provide transportation to a third location if needed. Note that both homes also have cats in residence.
We are hoping for three or more sessions a week with availability on most weekends as well as weekdays after 4:30.
If the summer works well, we would be excited to continue sessions into the fall with availability weekends and weekdays after 3:00.
Compensation: $35-40 per hour depending on level of experience. Supplies and snacks will be reimbursed.
References and background check required.
