Schechter Boston is looking for a dynamic and engaging Grade 4/5 Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.

Job Description:
 Design, plan and implement lessons that motivate students and create active learning
experiences.
● Prepare and implement differentiated instruction, activities and assessments that meet the needs
of every student.
● Build relationships with all students, so they are actively engaged in the classroom activities.
● Create and maintain a safe, organized, well-structured physical environment that is conducive to
student learning.
● Work collaboratively with grade level partners and instructional coaches.

Qualifications:
 ● Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
● MA Teaching Certification, preferred.
● Minimum of two years experience teaching students, preferably in an elementary school setting.
● Exemplary teaching skills.

New Teachers Collaborative is seeking recent college graduates who may be interested in the teaching profession.

Located in Devens, Massachusetts, New Teachers Collaborative (NTC) is a one-year program that allows candidates to secure full teacher licensure in Massachusetts and achieve one full-year of teaching experience. We are currently seeking graduates interested in teaching in middle and secondary schools but who have not yet taken education courses or who have not completed licensure requirements. College graduates who have degrees in the humanities, sciences, kinesiology, and Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply. We are seeking an energetic elementary educator to co-teach fifth grade. The successful candidate will have experience in curriculum development and will work closely with a co-teacher to plan and implement a thematic curriculum that honors children’s developmental pace and includes language arts, math, social studies, and social-emotional skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with co-teacher to plan and teach all language arts, math, and social studies curricula
  • Provide leadership in planning and implementing the math curriculum, in particular
  • Setting clear, well-paced learning objectives and providing regular feedback to students regarding their progress
  • Provide support to students in social, emotional, and academic areas
  • Communicate with parents about classroom events and student progress
  • Participate as a full member of the CRS faculty (e.g., participating in recess and carpool duties, attending weekly meetings, serving on a committee, etc.)

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated commitment to community, equity, and inclusion in instructional practice and pedagogical approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent classroom management, including communicating and maintaining grade-level expectations and behavioral boundaries
