Monday Afternoon Babysitting – 5/13 through 6/24 (East Arlington)
We are looking for a sitter to commit to about 6 weeks of weekly babysitting:
2:30-5:30pm every Monday afternoon from 5/13 – 6/24 (excluding Memorial Day)
We have a 2.5 yr/old and an almost 1 yr/old. Job would include getting the kids up from their naps, giving a snack, and playing in the house or yard, maybe walking to the park down the street. We live in East Arlington near Thorndike field, less than 10 minutes from Tufts.
Strong preference for someone who has cared for very young children before. Pay is $25-$30/hour based on experience/qualifications.

Summer Academy Volunteer Opportunity (Maryland)
Summer Academy Volunteer Opportunity – Now Accepting Applicants through June 10th!
The IRC (International Rescue Committee) in Silver Spring’s Summer Academy is a free learning experience for refugee students who are rising 6th-12th graders in Prince George’s and Montgomery County schools in Maryland. Volunteers facilitate lessons in English language and math, while incorporating extracurricular subjects and activities to broaden student’s horizons. Sign up here.
The program will take place in Prince George’s County July 8th – August 9th with 2-week cohorts of students in middle and high school. Weekly Schedule: Monday through Thursday 9:30am-2:30pm.
Volunteers are expected to attend all morning, afternoon or all-day sessions for their preferred cohort. You may participate in both cohorts, if desired.
Previous teaching and/or ESOL experience preferred but not required! This opportunity is open to volunteers high-school age and above. This opportunity is an Student Service Learning hours approved activity.

3Point Lead Instructor/Teacher for Summer Academy (Dorchester & West Newton)
Dynamic and enthusiastic instructors needed to teach in a 5-week Summer Learning Academy
in Boston from Monday, July 8th – Friday, August 9th. The summer academies will be held at
UMass Boston in Dorchester and the Fessenden School in West Newton.
As a lead instructor/teacher with 3Point, you will inspire and teach youth to think critically,
problem solve, improve their communication and collaboration skills, and create projects using
today’s latest computer technologies. Training will be provided before the start of the summer
learning academy.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for and experience working with youth education. This is
a great opportunity for a flexible team player with a positive attitude and engaging
communication and teaching skills.
We are looking for instructors, certified to teach grades 5-8, who enjoy working with youth, and
have summer availability during the mornings, afternoon, or both; The summer program runs
from July 8th to August 9th from 7:30 am to 5 pm, each site has a slightly different schedule.
Teachers/Instructors will work from 9-12 pm, 9-4 pm, or 12-4 pm daily.
Terms/Pay:
● $51.74/hr or the current BTU rate.
● Total compensation is set based on hours of work, including professional development,
on-site program time, and additional duties. Professional development hours shall not
exceed 20 hours.
● Site-specific job requirements, program hours, and training schedule to be determined
by the Summer Learning Academy program. Agreement to site-specific terms is required
for hire.
● Payroll will be processed on a biweekly basis after receipt of completed timesheets
following BPS summer payroll schedule.
● All employees must read and agree to the BPS 2024 Summer Program Terms of
Employment
Schedule:
● Position to begin the end of June/early July 2024(mandatory training) – August 9th, 2024
● Time is spent at one of the two sites, possibly meeting students at Roxbury Crossing to
be bussed to West Newton
● 20 or 40 hours a week, 5 weeks with additional training hours
● Hours consist between 7:30-5:00 pm M-F, depending on offer and availability
Qualifications – Required:
● Bachelor’s degree
● Massachusetts teaching license in 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grade
● At least 1 year of formal teaching experience

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday- Friday. She will be signed up for one hour classes for gymnastics, swim, dance and art, so she’ll need to be chaperoned to and from those 1-hour classes.
Other expectations:
- Transporting and attending toddler activity meet-ups
- Make and serve lunches and snacks.
- There is a whole floor, bathroom, and shared outdoor space available for the caretaker.
