City Sprouts looking for summer fellows
Looking for a summer internship in the greater Boston area? CitySprouts is looking for 10-12 energetic, diverse, and outgoing college students to be summer fellows in CitySprouts’ 2019 7-week Summer Program. While CitySprouts partners with Cambridge and Boston public schools through ages K-8, the Summer Program will be working with Middle School-aged kids. The Middle School program works to engage young people between 11-14 in learning about the environment and their communities through working in the garden. The curriculum is rooted in project-based activities that draw on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) practices. Kids learn about healthy food by cooking and eating food they’ve grown in the school garden. They think about their future work and careers by meeting people engaged in STEM and green economy fields. They are a voice for environmental justice in their own neighborhoods.
