What does it mean to “learn from food waste”?

The theme for this year’s Tufts Food Systems Symposium is “Learning from Food Waste,” an approach that challenges the tendency to focus on “downstream” aspects of the problem and instead uses it as a starting-point for understanding “upstream” causes and structural conditions that enable and even require the wasting of food.

The symposium will take place on Fri, April 5 in Breed Memorial Hall from 10 am to 2 pm. Lunch will be served!
