“Life Changing Bacon,” a talk by Brad Weiss on Feb 21

Join the Tisch College and Tufts Anthropology and Environmental Studies Departments this Tuesday, February 21st for a fascinating talk from Brad Weiss, professor of Anthropology at the College of William and Mary. Dr. Weiss’ talk will be centered around his new book, Real Pigs: Shifting the Values in the Field of Local Pork. Based on his research with chefs, butchers, consumers, and pig farmers in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, Dr, Weiss’ book explores questions about the cultural and societal forces that shape which foods we choose to eat, and the broad implications that come with those choices.

The talk will be held from 5:00-6:30 PM at 48 Professors Row, in the CHAT Seminar Room.
