Tufts Food Rescue looking for volunteers!
An immense amount of food is wasted in the US, yet many Americans remain food-insecure. The Tufts Food Rescue Coalition works to redirect surplus food to those who can use it by packaging unused food from Dewick and Carmichael dining halls into whole, nutritious meals for Food for Free’s Family Meals Program. Students involved in the TFRC also rescue excess food from area supermarkets. TFRC is looking for new volunteers in the family meals program and beyond. Email them for more information!
