Coalition of Immokalee Workers to speak at the Friedman School 4/19

Members of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), a “worker-based human rights organization” founded in Immokalee, FL, will be speaking at the Friedman School on Wednesday, April 19th, about their Campaign for Fair Food. The Campaign for Fair Food seeks to end the exploitation of farmworkers through organizing across various sectors and has successfully obtained Fair Food Agreements with 14 major food retailers. 

The talk is put on by the Friedman Justice League, as part of the Friedman Weekly Seminar series. It will be held from 12:15-1:15 at the Behrakis Auditorium at 150 Harrison Street in Boston.
