Summer 2018 internship opportunities

If you’re still firming up your plans for summer and planning to stay in the Boston area, you might want to consider one of these food-related internships:

• Groundwork Somerville – Groundwork is looking for Green Team Leaders to work with teams of local youth in various capacities, including working at their urban farm and local farmers markets. There’s some stipend funding available for Somerville residents. Deadline is May 4. More info here.
• Food for All – Food for All is a start-up that works to prevent wasted food by creating a secondary market for unsold restaurant meals. They’re looking for a business development intern and a marketing intern; both positions are paid. (If you happen to be New-York-based, there are some internships available there as well.)
• Somerville Food Security Coalition – They’re in search of a (stipended) summer intern to help them move along some projects relating to policy recommendations, structural racism in the local food system, and changing food access needs of local youth. Here’s more info.
