Substitute Teachers

Substitute Teacher positions for the 2022-2023 school year at all levels (K- grade 12).  All Substitute Teacher positions are on an “as needed” basis.  Responsible for in-person instruction of students during teacher absences, dependent on needs, while supporting students in meeting their academic goals.  Competent proficiency to instruct students, preferred.  Undergraduate degree, preferred.

Compensation is currently $113/day (first 10 shifts, not required to be successive), increase to $125/day (after 10 shifts completed), compensation increases with short term assignments (between 40 and 90 days).  Applicants may request specific grade levels (elementary, middle school and/or high school) for placement.  This is a great resume builder!

Paraeducators

Hingham Public Schools is looking for candidates to fill Paraeducator positions for the 2022-2023 school year.  Primary responsibilities include supporting students in general education and special education classes to meet their academic and organizational goals. Ideal candidates are flexible, reliable, compassionate, energetic, patient, and willing to learn.

Paraeducator positions are available in a variety of shifts:  full-time, part-time or substitute.  Compensation for full and part-time positions is $17.45/hour, potentially higher if experienced.  Compensation for substitute Paraeducators is $15.75/hour.

Summer Opportunity for the Yleana Leadership Foundation

The Yleana Leadership Foundation is interested in recruiting both grads and undergrads for a transformative SAT summer camp that is part SAT bootcamp, part on-campus college experience, and part traditional summer camp. We are looking for people who are willing to work hard and have an amazing time creating a summer camp experience for high school students from under-resourced communities.

AmeriCorps Position (Washington, DC)

The Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service (Nashman Center) at the George Washington University in Washington, DC is recruiting recent college graduates, graduate students, and professionals to join our AmeriCorps VISTA cohort starting in July 2022. Our VISTA members receive a living allowance while serving full time for 1 year at a designated DC Public School, with DCPS Central Office, or at the Nashman Center.  

The GWServes VISTA program leverages partnerships to support youth and families in economically disadvantaged areas of Washington, DC. We are seeking individuals who are excited about learning and helping build more equitable communities.

Summer Teaching Opportunity

Training opportunity for any undergraduate or graduate-level students interested in gaining teaching experience working with children with ADHD. Summer trainees will receive extensive training in behavioral strategies to help with classroom management, as well as, gain over 200 hours of direct clinical experience!

Camp Baker is a therapeutic summer program based off of the Summer Treatment Program (STP) model and is specifically designed for 6–12-year-old children with ADHD.

Camp Baker is currently accepting applications for four roles: 1) Graduate Counselor, 2) Undergraduate Counselor, 3) Teacher, and 4) Teaching Assistant. All aspects of the training program are supervised by a licensed clinical psychologist. Trainees complete a week-long training prior to the start of treatment and receive ongoing supervision. Training begins *Friday, July 1, 2022, with the July 4th holiday off*. Camp Baker runs from *Monday, July 11th through Friday, August 19th, 2022.* Trainees typically work from 7:30am until 4:30pm and stay from 7:30am-6pm one evening per week.

RA Hours for Transcriber

Our project is seeking a transcriber for 12 videos, which are approximately 30 minutes each (amounting to 357 minutes total). Transcripts are of interviews with elementary students solving math problems.

Work is self-paced. No formal experience needed.
