Introducing Our GA’s: Rebecca Kelly

Taking a quick break from admissions advice to introduce our Spring 2025 GA’s! These students are essential for our office to run smoothly, and we appreciate all of their hard work and dedication. Our GA’s are usually the first person you will talk to if you send us an email or a call, so feel free to ask them about their Fletcher experience!

First up is current MALD student and 4x admissions GA, Rebecca Kelly!

My name is Rebecca, and I’m originally from Chicago. I’m a second-year MALD student studying gender and human security with a focus on inclusive peacebuilding, gender-based violence, and migration. This past summer, I had internships with the Asia Foundation’s Women Empowerment Program and a peacebuilding organization in Northern Ireland called Corrymeela. My capstone centers on inclusive peacebuilding in Northern Ireland 25 years after the peace agreement, inspired by my time there.

Outside of class, I was the co-chair of the 10th annual Conference on Gender and International Affairs (CGIA) this past fall. I also run the Creative Writing Club and co-lead Club CGIA. I am an Events Research Assistant for the Leir Institute and am currently a TA for Professor Fakhoury. Of course, I’m also a GA in Fletcher’s Office of Admissions. Lastly, I like to read, watch documentaries, and ice skate for fun.
