Admissions comings and goings
Dan sent an email to the community last week with updates on the Admissions Office staff. I’m going to quote liberally from his message to share a bunch of news with all of you. Here we go!
We have a new colleague. Welcome, Lindsey!
We’re pleased to welcome Lindsey DeLorie to the team as our new Admissions Counselor. Lindsey will have primary oversight over our application and enrollment process and associated information systems. Lindsey is a recent graduate with a BS in Diplomacy & International Relations and Modern Languages (Spanish & Russian), and an MA in Diplomacy and International Relations. She has also spent the past year as an Admissions Officer in Seton Hall’s Undergraduate Admissions office, where she contributed to application review and decision-making, conducted outreach to prospective students and families, and managed a team of student workers and interns. We’re very excited by all that Lindsey offers both to our team and to Fletcher at large.
Lucas has a new position within Admissions. Congratulations, Lucas!
We’re thrilled to announce that Lucas Harty has recently been named Assistant Director of Admissions & Financial Aid. Lucas has become utterly indispensable over the past few years, and his assumption of this new role is a huge asset for our team. In his new capacity, Lucas will be the Admissions liaison to the MIB program, and will take on a variety of responsibilities including recruitment travel, application reading and admissions committee, and financial aid (a fair amount of which he’s already been doing informally).
Kristen has a new role within Fletcher. Congratulations, Kristen!
We’ll soon say goodbye, in a fashion, to Kristen Zecchi’s direct role on our team. Kristen and the MIB program have come to be virtually synonymous at Fletcher, and her contributions to our overall operations have frequently gone well beyond her formal responsibilities in the MIB admissions process. Our loss is Fletcher’s gain, though; Kristen is the new Director of Business Education at the Institute for Business in the Global Context. The soon-to-be-launched Master of Global Business Administration program will surely flourish under Kristen’s guidance, and we both wish her the best in her new role, and remind her that we know where her new office is located, as we’ll surely have questions about MIB admissions.
And bye to/from me!
Yes, I’ll be leaving Fletcher at the end of next week. As Dan put it, “All of us will be taking on various bits of her bailiwick,” and Dan himself will be writing/editing the Admissions Blog. I’ll share more about all of this before I go, but as you can tell, the Admissions Office is going to look quite different come September!
