Asian American and Pacific Islander National Security and Foreign Policy Next Generation Leaders
If ever there were a news item worthy of the “Cool stuff!” tag, it’s the list of “Foreign Policy Next Generation Leaders” from the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community recently published by The Diversity in National Security Network and New America. The list is an impressive collection of talent as a whole, but what we’re obviously most interested in here is the fact that it’s positively larded with Fletcher alumni! There’s Jimmy Antia, a national security specialist with the Institute of Security Governance, Grace Choi, the director of policy in the NYC Mayor’s office, director for Afghanistan strategy and policy Hila Hanif, of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Michelle Kwan, a former Olympian currently working on the Biden 2020 presidential campaign. The list isn’t limited to alumni, either. Current Fletcher student Tashi Chogyal, who came to Fletcher after stints at USAID, the US Department of Justice, the Center for American Progress, and the 2012 Obama re-election campaign, also appears. Even a quick glance at this list makes it clear that this is an accomplished and outstanding group of young professionals, and we’re thrilled to see Fletcher so well represented!
