Tufts / Paris 2024
As our office gears up for the students’ arrival in just over a month, we’re also planning some exciting recruitment activities for the fall. Stay tuned for updates on that front!
In the meantime, I can’t wait for the Olympics to start today! I’m especially excited for track and field (my former sport), gymnastics, swimming, volleyball, tennis — the list goes on. There won’t be enough hours in the day to watch everything! 🙂
For those interested, check out this article for some insights from Professor Michael Klein. Professor Klein authored a memo back in 2000, which found a correlation between women’s labor force participation and the number of women’s medals won in the Sydney Olympics. Ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics, which begin in Paris on Friday, Klein uses his model to assess countries’ outcomes at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Additionally, there are two Tufts alums and one Tufts student who will be competing in Paris. Go Jumbos!
