Celebrating Success: Fletcher Students Shine in Impact Investing Competition

In a testament to their dedication and expertise, students from The Fletcher School at Tufts University secured second place in The Wharton School’s prestigious 2024 Turner Impact Portfolio Challenge (TIPC). MIB students Charlotte Lammel, Krunal Thakkar, Abhishek Raj, and Michael Ashaolu demonstrated exceptional skill and innovation, showcasing the strength of Fletcher’s commitment to impact investing.

The Turner Impact Portfolio Challenge is a renowned competition that challenges graduate students to construct portfolios tailored to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria, aiming to align financial goals with positive social and environmental outcomes. This year’s competition saw teams from top universities across the nation competing to design portfolios that not only generate financial returns but also contribute to addressing pressing global challenges.

Fletcher’s team stood out for their strategic thinking, rigorous analysis, and dedication to creating portfolios with meaningful impact. Their achievement reflects the interdisciplinary approach and depth of knowledge fostered at The Fletcher School, where students are encouraged to explore innovative solutions to complex global issues.

As a community dedicated to driving positive change on a global scale, we take pride in the accomplishments of our students and look forward to supporting them as they continue to make meaningful contributions to the field.

Well done, Fletcher team—we are immensely proud of your achievements!
