New Language Tables at The Fares Center

A neat news tidbit to share today for prospective students interested in language study during grad school: The Fares Center for Eastern Mediterranean Studies has recently introduced Language Tables in Arabic, Hebrew, and Farsi. Language Tables will be led by native speakers and meet at least weekly. This is a great additional opportunity for students to pursue comprehension in critical languages. Fletcher students have long done so via cross-registering for Tufts language classes, informal conversation with native speakers in the community, and research and internships abroad in immersion settings. Particularly given the difficulty in pursuing international travel in these times, though, the Fares Language Tables are a welcome addition!
