Early Notification application deadline – November 10

Murray the dog shoutingThe application deadlines come fast and furious around this time of year, readers. We’re just on the cusp of releasing admissions decisions for applicants to the spring 2021 semester, and already find ourselves within two weeks of the November 10 Early Notification deadline for fall 2021! Murray implores you not to let this date sneak up on you.

As always, we’ll encourage you to be in touch with our office at fletcheradmissions@tufts.edu with any detailed questions about your application, but there are a few common ones we can cover in this space. Readers should first understand that Early Notification decisions are not binding, as they often are at the undergraduate level. It’s simply a way for enterprising applicants to get an admissions decision sooner (by January 1), thereby giving themselves more time for deeper research into Fletcher as well as financial planning. It’s also important to be aware that early applicants will receive only their admissions decision early; scholarship notification will arrive in early-mid March, when admissions decisions for the rest of the pool are released. Finally, the admissions and scholarship evaluation processes for Early Notification applications are exactly the same as every other point in the process. It’s neither easier nor harder to be admitted nor more or less likely that you’ll receive a scholarship award if you apply for Early Notification than if you elect to submit by the January 10 deadline.

So get to it, applicants! We’re looking forward to receiving your applications.
