While a blog isn’t always the ideal platform on which to promote upcoming events, this Thursday’s virtual “Summerfest” is a worthy exception. Summerfests are typically our busiest recruitment events, and they’ve remained so even as they’ve shifted to a virtual format. We hold these events in conjunction with a group of peer institutions including Georgetown MSFS, Columbia SIPA, and Johns Hopkins SAIS. It’s a great opportunity to hear from Admissions personnel and alumni of each of these institutions, both as a group and in individual breakout rooms. The news side of this blog compels me to acknowledge that all four of these schools offer top-notch programs, and that it’s common for applicants to apply to all four. The editorial side, on the other hand, allows me to emphasize that of course Fletcher is the main attraction, and that you should feel no need to offer more than a polite tip of the cap to other participating schools.
Wherever you are in the process of researching grad school options, we’ll hope to see you virtually this Thursday! You can register for the event here.
