A gathering of the Fletcher Korea Club
Today, a fun update from Fletcher alumnus and friend of the blog Han Kim. During his student days, Han was an Admissions Interviewer, and also shared his experience training for the Boston Marathon in this space. Happily for me – and for you, readers – he’s still in touch with my friend, colleague, and former blog steward Jessica, through whom I got wind of this recent Fletcher Korea Club event:
The Fletcher Club Korea had a small gathering at the residence of the Colombian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea: Juan Carlos Caiza. The gathering brought together a various range of degrees: MALD, MA, PhD, and GMAP; nationalities: Colombian, Mexican, Vietnamese, Canadian, American, and Korean; and professions: Diplomats, politicians, professors, IGO staff, NGO staff, and a sales manager. A truly Fletcher-like-gathering! As usual, memories about our times at Fletcher were shared and enjoyed. More serious discussions about collaborations in Korea to bring together more Fletcherites while strengthening international relations were had. Of course, the evening ended with a bit of entertainment, a salsa tournament, Colombian style, in Korea!
