Fletcher Reads the News – even from afar

Michael Dobbs and Bhaskar ChakravortiToday, a quick announcement about a cool upcoming event.  “Fletcher Reads the Newspaper” has been a long-running series hosted by the Institute for Business in the Global Context (IBGC), and this Friday will see the latest installment, in virtual form. The title says it all: a panel of Fletcher experts convenes to discuss a hot contemporary topic from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. Past subjects have included the #MeToo movement, Brexit, the digital gender gap, and the wisdom (or folly) of business leaders becoming heads of state.

Not surprisingly, Friday’s session (at 9AM EDT) will cover the only subject there is these days. “A Pandemic-Proof World” will gather together a group of Fletcher faculty members with global public health and business experts to discuss the threats and opportunities of the current crisis for multilateralism. Register here for the session, which will take place via Zoom (congratulations to anyone wise enough to have bought Zoom stock back when it still seemed a novel technology).

For those not able to join the live event, it will be recorded and made available subsequently. To the rest of you, “see” you on Friday!
