Read MoreThose of you who submitted your applications by the Early Notification deadline should by now have received your admissions decision (and if not, check your application status page!). While I think our Early Notification process is pretty straightforward, I always like to provide a bit of context for these candidates to make sure everyone is on the same page.
Read MoreThe end of last week marked an annual Fletcher tradition, different this year as with everything. “Januarians,” those students who begin their time at Fletcher in the spring semester, have a commencement ceremony each December. These students are also invited to the larger commencement ceremonies each spring, but this cohort of students have a unique identity and bond with each other, and it’s nice to set aside some time each year to celebrate them on their own.
Read MoreReaders, there is one month remaining until the January 10 application deadline! I always like to jump in with a one-month-left reminder as it feels like a useful amount of time. If you’re reading this and just now considering applying for fall 2021 enrollment, you’ve still got plenty of time to put together your best possible application, but now would be the moment to get started.

The Social List is the real-time pulse of the Fletcher community, delivering a pu pu platter of announcements, chit chat, debates, advertisements, and solicitations over email. Read MoreThe Admissions Committee process is one of my favorite times of the year. The collaborative nature of the work and the opportunity to spend time with a cross-section of members of the Fletcher community I might not otherwise get to know all that well makes it one of the most rewarding parts of this job.
Read MoreIn this era of all days being the same, Thanksgiving has snuck up on me this year. In a normal fall full of Admissions travel, I know Thanksgiving is just about here when I start feeling like I can’t stand the thought of dealing with another airport, at which point we promptly head to the airport to visit my wife’s family for the holiday. Things are different this year, a sentiment from which I’ve gotten a lot of mileage lately.
Read MoreFletcher is excited to introduce the new Master in Global Affairs (MGA) degree program. The MGA will embody the interdisciplinary and flexible curriculum for which Fletcher has long been known, while providing a focus on subject area specialization and skill building in a particular field. For those prospective students interested in the Fletcher experience who aren’t able to dedicate two years to a full-time student experience, the MGA may be for you.
Read MoreHello Admissions Blog readers! It is I – Dan’s Fairy Blogmother!
Long story short, for all you newbies, I worked in Admissions until August of 2018, then left for a year, and then returned in August 2019 to help out at Fletcher by working on some projects. One thing led to another (including a pandemic) and I’m still here.
