It’s been a while since I’ve deputized my Admissions colleagues to assemble in the blogatorium, and this is a natural time of year to turn to my co-conspirators for some words of wisdom. Commencement 2021

Having a beautiful spring day for this year’s virtual commencement ceremonies didn’t technically matter, but it somehow made the screen-mediated festivities feel slightly closer to how they should be observed. While it might be cold comfort to this year’s graduates, the added knowledge that we’re quickly approaching a return to “normalcy” lent a buoyancy to the ceremony that the occasion deserves.

Map Your Future – June application deadline

Regular blog readers may be surprised to see a deadline-related post at this point in the year. It’s approaching mid-May, after all, the time of year in which your focus understandably may be more on the dubious playoff prospects of the Celtics or the surprising start of the spunky Red Sox. For current college seniors, though, the June 10 Map Your Future (MYF) application deadline is one to bear in mind.
