b. Format Nodes

Node style, such as shape, coloring, border weight, font attributes, and labels, can be formatted.

To adjust node shape:

  1. Make sure the Formatting Palette is visible (Windows > Formatting Palette).
  2. Select the node. Sizing handles appear around the node.
  3. On the Formatting Palette, click the Shape tool drop-down menu. The 9 node shapes display.
  4. Select a shape. The node adjusts.

To adjust the node label:

  1. Make sure the Formatting Palette is visible (Windows > Formatting Palette).
  2. Double-click the label text. The text is selected.
  3. On the right end of the Formatting Palette, click any of the text tools, such as font face or size, and make adjustments. The node label text is adjusted.
