The Extended Selection tool enables you to extend the selection from one node to other linked nodes by depth of connection. For example, if one node is connected to five other nodes, and then those five nodes are connected to 15 more nodes, clicking on the 2nd node in the control would initially select 6 nodes that are 1 link away. Clicking the 3rd node would select an additional 15 nodes that are 2 links away, totaling 21 selected nodes.
- Select a node.
- In the Exploration window, drag the Extended Selection slider. The nodes are highlighted.
Notes:
The control for this functionality replaced a slider in 3.0 beta, it is now represented by a series of node and link icons, of which the nodes are selectable.
