Beginning with version 3.0.1 we allow for the location of the VUE home folder to be configured by an environment variable, we also allow for specifying a location for the installed data resources which can be searched within VUE.
1) VUE Home Folder
Set an environment variable called VUEUSERHOME to point to a new home folder.
2) Data Content Folder
Set an environment variable called OSIDPROVIDERHOME to point to a new folder.
- Note – yes these can both point to the same folder
If you’re on Mac OSX you’ll need to set the variables in the Info.plist, if you’re on Windows they can be set through the control panel.
