i. Opacity

The opacity tool affects the opacity of the non-selected node and links in a map. As the slider is dragged from 100% toward 0%, the non-selected objects become dimmer. Opacity adjustment can also be used in conjunction with the next tool to be explained, Extended Selection.

  1. On the menu bar, select Windows > Exploration Tools. The Exploration Tools window opens.
  2. Select one or more nodes or links.
  3. In the Exploration window, drag the Opacity slider. The opacity of the non-selected nodes and links is adjusted.
