VUE uses Open Calais, a web service for generating rich semantic metadata, to analyze nodes and seed queries for map based searching.
VUE passes the node resource to Open Calais, which generates a rich set of metadata describing the resource, returning this data to VUE, to be mapped using our automated layout algorithms.
