The Center for Science Education

CSE bridges the divide between biomedical scientists and high school educators, to bring the up-to-date science behind health and disease into the high school classroom. We do this through forging partnerships among specialists in biomedical science, teachers, and educational researchers who design, support implementation of, and evaluate life-relevant curricula.

Our goals are twofold: first, to engage students in authentic science practice and promote self-efficacy in scientific problem solving – skill sets required for building the 21st century biomedical and health sciences workforce; second to promote health literacy – a skill set required for effective 21st century health management.
